6′ Channel Islands ‘Shashimi’. In the shop for various tail and rail dings.

A winter photo project has been using the 120mm Yashica-Mat, and hand-processing color film, to document boards as they come through the Ding Repair business.

Yes! – I think I am waiting for the new fin to be installed…All shaped and glassed, I am buying the hardware today. Should be done in days. Looks nice.

Shapes like this are great fun. Not a bias, but I learned it as an old man’s shortboard, good float, nice turning and loose. Thanks for posting.

A surf buddy/ding client has brought me his Channel Islands ‘Pod’ to fix a couple times. That board looks like a fun ‘old man shortboard’…about 3″ thick, 20″wide, and shy of 6’.
